October is here and the Halloween season upon us signaling the shift into cool weather and future evenings by the open flame. How many birthdays can we squeeze in to an episode? Which heavy metal drummer became a dad over the weekend? Is it ok to accept a 12″ Love Gun from a friend? What show host had a dog destroy their home today? Tune in tonight to receive the answers to these important questions! All this and more is in store for you on Monuments in Ruin!
Hard to hype a show that’s gonna go out LIVE, because you never know WHAT’s gonna happen! Tonight, we’re paying tribute to a couple of our favorite bassists who were ripped from us way too early. Then we’ll take a left turn through the fog and the heavy to explore a bunch of killer metal. We’re also paying tribute to an amazing band that we hate to see retire way too soon AND Mack’s giving away the Autographed Fox 45 album from Twin Earth Records. This one promises to be crazy!
Roll back the clock with us tonight as we revisit the rising tide that would eventually devour main stream radio. The late 80s and early 90s were a hot bed of creativity and ground breaking song craft. The long standing impact of some of these albums and artists are still being felt today. Many of these artists unknowingly changed the landscape of music forever and carved a place in many hearts. It’s difficult to accept that we are listening as proudly 25+ years later as the day they were released upon the world. Take a trip down memory lane on Episode 47 of Monuments in Ruin!
Live and crazy Max Wax! Going all the way back to some Deep Purple and all the way forward with the new Fu Manchu! Check out one of my favorite Ronnie James Dio albums, hear tracks from the album we’re giving away and catch some live Clutch… plus hear tracks from up and coming bands Fox 45 and Purple! Let’s do this!
Tonight we test our strength with power metal, process some progressive and punk rock, hang out with some hard-core jams, revisit some ragtime tunes, try to balance out our inner being through musical tones and psych and submit to Sabbath Worship once again. We are also giving away a free record among those who were attentive enough to catch up with how to enter! All this happens on Episode 46 of Monuments in Ruin!
