The weight of the world crushes down… and it sometimes takes metal to lift us back up. This show is meant to help with that process.
Heavy Music For A Heavy World
On tonight’s Max Wax, we’re going from obscure Jazz/Funk/Fusion of the Beastie Boys to the Truckfighters to the Black Crowes, with many crazy stops along the way. Check out some old favorites, new vibes and a ton of solid vinyl from the Trendkill Studios, including some killer heaviness from our new friends, Cincinnati’s own Spring Grove!
My favorite band that I can’t spin… Sevendust…. Max Wax, Volume 61. I’d buy the comprehensive boxset of their career on vinyl for $350 right now, but no such beast exists. So, I’m just going to do an hour show that’s NOT off vinyl (trust me… I don’t feel right about it) in an effort to appeal the God’s of Vinyl Heaviness for some 7D records.
“This week’s episode is dedicated to an amazing artist and multi-talented dude, our co-host of Sonic Temple and my friend David Paul Seymour. Though nothing can last forever, David aired his final episode Sunday night. He has stock piled us with 30 episodes of heavy entertainment. The playlist for this episode is geared toward tribute to him. Featuring some of his favorites (from my perspective), I hope to pay a fun tribute to one of our family. Thank you for your friendship and consistency toward the heavy music community. Cheers and enjoy!”

“Let’s get back to the 80s with the next installment of the Monuments in Ruin Chronology Series. This episode features music from 1981 to 1983. When I reflect back to the 80s I often think of the lame elements that we had to endure but underneath all of that perfectly combed hair and dashing good looks is a dense batch of musical molding jams! Hang out with me as we re-experience them this week on Episode 71.”
